On Thursday the 29th of October the 4/5s,Mr D,Mr H,Mrs R Mrs A,Mrs AR,Mrs S and two pearents,Mr M and Mrs T went on a camp one night to Camp GoodEnough and came back Friday the 30th of October.Camp GoodEnough isin Balambie NSW
We went on camp tomake new friends, learn how to work as a team and stepout of our comfort zone or try new things. We had to be at school by 8:15am and we departed school at8:45am
We had to load our luggage onto the bus .There were two buses,a big bus and a small bus.I was in the small bus.It takes roughly 1 and a half hours to get there and it was really good becaue we got to watch Peter Pan and it was the reallife one. When we got there we had to unload the luggage and the bus driver to have acompetition which was, would the boys or the girls unload the most luggage. After that we had to carry our luggage down a big hill and it was painful.
Once we got to the cabins, we were told which cabin we would be in. There were two cabins for boys and two cabins for girls. Cabins 1 and 2 were the girls cabins and 3 and 4 were the boys cabins. I was in cabin 1 with some of my friends and with my best friend Taylor. The beds in the cabins were bunk beds and I was on the top bunk.
At camp we had to do duty groups, the two jobs were to set up and clean up. There were eight groups and each group had to do either set up or clean up. I was in Mr H's group and I was with some of my frieds and we were on set up duty. I was on breakfast duty set up and we got to set the table. When everybody was seated in the dining room, whoever was on set up got to get up and say something about the food, for example; Crunchy cornflakes or refereshing salad. For lunch we had hamburgers, sandwiches and carrots.
After lunch Mr H's group, Mrs A's group, Mrs S's group and Mrs Ar's group went to the hall to do initiative games. The games were musical groups. Musical grupls is like musical statues or musical chairs but when the music stops, one of the staff would hold up a number and whatever number that person held up you have to get into a gorup with that same number in it. Another game is carpet jump and you had ten carpets and you had to throw the carpets and jump from carpet to carpet to get to the other side and my group won. While the four groups were at the initiative games the other four groups got to go on the flying fox. When all the groups were done we went outside for some free time.
When free time was over we had to have a shower. Some people complained that the water was too cold, but I complained about the exact opposite. The shower I had was too hot and I got burnt trying to turn some of the cold water on to make it not cold but not hot.
After the showers we had to get dressed, wash our hands and then go into the dining room for dinner. For dinner we had beef lasagne, potatoe bake and some salad. I didn't like the potatoe bake, I like my mum's better.
For ddessert we had pancakes wtih ice-cream and maple syrup. I really enjoyed dessert but I think the pancake was really a picklet.
After dinner and dessert we had to go into the hall and we got to play some games. The first thing that we did was trivia. We were in our normal groups and Mr H's group was tcalled the H 'n'adors and another group name was the Smarties and there were other names too. What we had to do was, the teachers had writtend down questions and we had to answer them. Some of the questions were "What's Mrs R's favourite colour"? "When did Mr D come to S.J.V"? and "What is Mr H's dog's name">. There was also a movie trivia and Mr D played a part from a movie and we had to guess what movie it was from. My group won the trivia night.
We also had a talent show and me, Jade, Sian, Taylor and Katherine did a new report and we got lots of laughs out of it. There was also the elastic girls which was Kate and Maddie C and they did GREAT gymnastics and there were way more acts.
After that we went to bed but nobody wen to sleep till late and we got up at 5.00am.
The next day I was on set up for breakfast. For breakfast we had baked beans, hash browns, spread, toast, cordial, water, cereal and fruit. Breakfast was really good that day.
After breakfast the other four groups went to the flying fox up the big hill. The flying fox was so much fun and what they did was to put you in a body harness with a rope attached to you and they would pull you up this huge tower then a lady would pull up the rope and tell you to hold onto it. The lady would then push you down and when you got to the bottom you let go of the rope so they could pull you down, it was really great fun.
After that we had to have lunch which was hot dogs and cordial, the hot dogs were very nice. After that we had to carry our luggage up the big hill and when it was on the bus we were on our way back to school. The DVD on our bus wasn't working so everyone was talking and playing hand games.
When we got back to school our parents picked us up and we went home.
Camp was lots of fun and I can't wait until next year.

Moon Explanation
There are 8 phases of the moon. The moon effects the tides. There is the, New moon it is the first moon which is black so the person can't see anything because the earth is blocking the sunlight for the moons glow.
The second moon is the Waxing Crescent. This is when there is a slither of light like a banana because the Earth is covering the sunlight from the sun.
Then there is the First Quarter is a half moon. The First Quarter or half moon is when half the moon is glowing because the moon is at the side of the earth.
The fourth moon is the Waxing Gibbous. The Waxing Gibbous is a bit bigger than a half moon or First Quarter.
The following phase is the Full moon. When the moon is full effect on the tides,That is called the gravitational pull because there is more gravity being forced on the tides.
The next moon phase is the Waning Gibbous. It is when the person can see a bit more than half of the moon but the glow is on the other side of the disk because the moon is at a certain place and that causes the phase.
The next moon phase is the Last Quarter. This is a half moon with the glow on the other side of the disk because of the moons position.
The last moon phase is the Waning Crescent is a sliver of the moon. That is because of the moons position
The moon affects the tides because the moon pulls the tides in and out so in a full moon the tides are high and during a Waxing Crescent the tides will be a low tide because the moon won't have such an affect on the tides as in a full moon.
The moon gets its glow from the sun bouncing off the earth and it depends where the moon is because the moon doesn't get its own light, so the moon relies on the sun for light.
The different phases occur by relying on the sun. To get a full moon the sun, the moon and the earth have to bet in a straight line in that order and the sun will light up the moon and that's how a full moon happens. Sometimes when the moon is full it is yellow and that's because the moon is so close to the sun.
In New Zealand the moon would be different because the sun light is bouncing off the Earth and because the country's are in different places on the Earth the different country's would get different moons.
The moon takes 29 1/2 days to travel around the Earth.
The moon is important in many ways.Astronomers rely on the moon for their study. The moon is also important to humans and animals.
It is important to animals incase it is dark and hunters or other animals are trying to kill other animals and the animal being hunted because the moon will not light up the sky

Freak Street

I am reading FReak sTreet meet the Alienson's by Knife & Packer.I have read all the freak street books exept for meet the zombysons. This book is GREAT.I like all the characters because they are all very funny. In these book's it's like one person is doing something and they need the other people in the family to get them out of a proplem.I liked it when the microwave-oven type thing exploded. The dinner oven is a thing when you just type in what food you want and it shoots it out the food you typed in.These are the Aliensons names there is Mr Alienson,Mr Alienson, aha the baby,Andy the little boy,Arlene the little girl and their pet called Zog.I think it is funny how all the kids names start with an A.I recomend this book for everyone.

WACKY WARDROBE DAY
We are having a WACKY WARBROB DAY on the 7th of may.On WACKY WARDROBE we dress up in Wacky clothes. We must bring in $1 or more to be able to wear wacky clothes. This year we can pay $2 to get a wacky hairdo but we must get our parents signature. We are not allowed to wear shirts with rude slogans such as boys can't wear shirts that say girls are fat or girl suck or girls can't wear shirts that say boys are not cool and are smelly or boys suck or things that have swear words. We can not wear singlet tops.We have to wear enclosed shoes, tops that cover our shoulders, and tops that cover our stomach. We don't have to wear wacky clothes if we don't want to.

Geronimo Stilton Paws Of Cheddar Face
I am reading Geronimo Stilton The Paws Of Cheddar Face.I think this book is very funny and mysterious. My favourite characters are Geronimo,Benjamin,Thea and Trap because they are very funny. My least favourite characters are Sally Ratmousen because she is very mean to everyone especially Geronimo and she tried to take over The Rodent's Gazette and I also don't like Sydney Starfur because he was pretending to be Geronimo Stilton and because he worked for Sally Ratmousen the evil rat.I think this book is like it makes you just want to keep reading it.I think every one should read this book.I rate this book 11 out of 10.I recomend this book for people who like funny books.
